BSMMU forms committee to examine effectiveness of Gonoshasthaya’s corona test kits

The authorities of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) have formed a five-member committee to examine the effectiveness of Gonoshasthaya Kendra’s coronavirus testing kits. They formed the body on Saturday morning.
Earlier on April 30, Gonoshasthaya Kendra received permission from the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) to have the locally manufactured kits for Covid-19 detection tested. DGDA asked Gonoshasthaya to test it at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) or IEDCR.
On April 25, Gonoshasthaya Kendra handed over the testing kits to BSMMU and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for final approval from the government.
