10 Rohingyas who fled from Bhashan Char arrested

The law enforcers have arrested 10 Rohingyas, including five children, who had fled from Bhashan Char. They were held from Madhurchhara camp number-4, block number-16 of Ukhiya by Armed Police Battalion (APBn) police on Thursday night (July 29). APBn-15 commander SP Nayeemul Haque confirmed the matter to journalists.
The detainees are – Fayzul Islam, 29, his wife Mazida Begum, 25, son Yeasir, 7, Kaysar, 2, daughter Noor Fatema, 5, Fayzul’s elder brother Jahid Hossain, 30, his wife Asma Khatun, 27, son Syed Hossain, 9, Hamid Hossain, 2 and daughter Ayas Fatima, 4.
SP Nayeemul Haque said, the arrested Rohingyas came to the Madhurchhara camp from Bhashan Char. Acting on a tip-off, a team of APBn went to the area and arrested them.
