Chhatra League will be by the side in the implementation of mass vaccination

Bangladesh Chhatra League has directed to form all unit based teams to stand by the people in the immunization center to implement the mass immunization program announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The directive was issued in a press release signed by Bangladesh Chhatra League central president Al-Nahyan Joy and general secretary writer Bhattacharya on Monday (August 2nd).

The people of Bangladesh have received the free Covid-19 vaccine under the strong leadership and dedicated efforts of the Prime Minister during this crisis in Corona. In the meantime, vaccination activities are being conducted from the capital to the divisions, districts and upazilas. In order to bring everyone under the vaccine, the age limit has been announced to be increased from 25 years to 18 years in the first week of August.

Recently, in all the divisional and district cities and metropolises as well as at the union level, from the first week of August, on the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Union Parishad has officially announced the vaccination program. One crore people are planned to be vaccinated in the second week of August.

It was said in the notification that the leaders and workers of Bangladesh Chhatra League will form an organizational unit based team and work as volunteers in collaboration with the government employees in the vaccination center so that the people of the country can get vaccinated in accordance with proper health rules.

To this end, all the organizing district and metropolitan committees have been asked to form separate volunteer teams based on the vaccination centers of all the upazilas and unions under them and send them to the office cell of the list center. The central executive leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League will supervise those activities. In the notification, the central president and general secretary of Chhatra League instructed the volunteer team to wear the black badge of mourning August and participate in the organized mass activities in compliance with the hygiene rules.

Chhatra League president Al-Nahyan Joy said, “Chhatra League is by the side of common people in any crisis of the nation.” This is the ideal of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. You see, from the beginning of Corona, Bangladesh Chhatra League was by the side of common people. We have taken various programs including raising awareness, food items, oxygen services, rice cutting for farmers. I have tried to be by the side of common people. Chhatra League workers will form a team and stand by the people in the mass vaccination program of the Prime Minister.
