Bauls’ fair held at Kalapara in Patuakhali

Kalapara (Patuakhali) Representative: Bauls’ fair is being held at Kalapara in Patuakhali. Baul artists are singing baul songs one after the other. The event went on till late at night. The event was held at 7:30 pm on Tuesday on the occasion of the introduction meeting of the newly elected committee of Baul Sangha.
Gazi Mohammad Babul, upazila committee president of Baul Sangha, presided over the meeting. Noor Hossain Chishti, Chief Advisor of Baul Sangha was present as the chief guest.
General Secretary of Upazila Shilpi Goshti Md. Mahbubur Rahman was present as the special guest. Md. Mahbubur Rahman Azad, Advisor of Baul Sangha; Sobhan Biswas etc.
Sabina Yasmin, female editor of Baul Sangha, moderated the programme. According to baul sangha sources, a new committee of 61 members has been formed with Gazi Mohammad Babul as president and Shamim Bepari as general secretary.
