BNP gets permission to hold rally in Dhaka on July 12

BNP has received verbal permission to hold a rally in front of the party office at Nayapaltan in the capital on July 12. A BNP delegation met Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandaker Golam Faruk on Monday afternoon. After the meeting, BNP chairperson’s adviser Abul Khair Bhuiyan told the media, “I wrote a letter to the DMP on July 12 for permission to hold the rally. A meeting was held with the DMP commissioner today. He gave us verbal permission.
“We have called a rally in front of bnp’s nayapaltan office at 3pm on July 12 demanding resignation of awami government and election-time non-party government,” he said. I have spoken to the DMP commissioner in this regard. We have sought all-out cooperation from him in terms of law and order. The DMP has assured us of our cooperation. We are hopeful that our rally will be held beautifully. From this rally, our new program will come.
BNP leader Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said, “We will hold a rally, it is a political program. You know, we are in the field of movement, our goal is to accelerate this movement. We will have this rally to strengthen this movement. A new program will come from the rally. We hope that the law enforcement agencies will cooperate fully.
